Annual national statistics on deliveries in NHS hospitals in England, derived from Hospital Episode Statistics and published by NHS England. Resources report annual delivery counts and indexed changes in delivery numbers by maternal age group from 2014-15 to 2024-25. Index values use 2014-15 as the baseline of 100. A further resource reports percentages of deliveries by method of onset. Deliveries with an unknown method of onset are excluded, and published percentages may total 99 rather than 100 because the published percentages are rounded to whole numbers.
